Join Our Team

Help experienced professionals maximize their positive impact.

Around 3,300 professionals applied to our Impact Accelerator Program (IAP) this year, wanting their careers to count for more. We accepted around 10%. Meanwhile, the organizations working on the world's most pressing problems are getting new funding, and they tell us getting a great, experienced hire is one of their main bottlenecks. HIP connects the two.

We have helped more than 140 professionals move into organizations like GiveWell, Epoch AI, and Shrimp Welfare Project, many of them while our team was just two people. Over the next two years, we plan to support hundreds of career transitions a year. We'll reach many more experienced professionals, and build new routes in for people the IAP can't take.

This round hires the people who will make that possible.​

Open roles
All four roles are fully remote and ideally full-time, with part-time considered for outstanding applicants. Applications close November 1. 

Chief of Staff / Managing Director

Help scale HIP’s team and impact, delivering our top priorities as Chief of Staff or running HIP internally as Managing Director.


At a glance:

  • Two levels: Chief of Staff or Managing Director

  • Gets a fuller picture of HIP than almost anyone

  • Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 USD (up to $140,000 for Managing Director)

Director of Operations

Build the systems and processes that enable HIP's growth, starting by setting us up as an independent nonprofit.


At a glance:

  • Joins our leadership team, working closely with our Executive Director

  • Owns finance, legal, compliance, and people operations

  • Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 USD (up to $120,000 for outstanding candidates)

Program Launch Lead / Director

Create new routes into high-impact work. The first could be a self-guided program open to anyone.


At a glance:

  • Two levels: Lead or Director

  • Runs each new program's first rounds, then builds the next

  • Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 USD (Director: $80,000 to $100,000)

Recruitment Manager

Choose who joins our Impact Accelerator Program, the step that currently limits how many people we can help.

  • Works closely with our Director of Programs

  • Also runs parts of HIP's own hiring rounds
